David Harte


Co-founder

David Harte is widely recognized as one of the world’s premier goalkeepers and a cornerstone of Shutout School. A two‐time FIH Goalkeeper of the Year (2015 and 2016), he has led the Ireland men’s field hockey team in marquee events such as the Rio 2016 Olympics and the 2018 World Cup. In recent competitions, his commanding performances in the 2024 Olympic Qualifier and at the Paris 2024 Olympics have further underscored his exceptional skills and tactical leadership on the international stage.

At the club level, Harte’s impact is equally profound. Playing for SV Kampong in the Netherlands, his contributions have been pivotal in securing Hoofdklasse Championships in 2017, 2018, and 2024, and his stellar play in 2016 helped Kampong capture the Euro Hockey League title. Additionally, he has been a consistent presence in every edition of the Hockey India League, most recently earning multiple Player of the Match awards with the Tamil Nadu Dragons.

Off the pitch, David is passionate about nurturing the next generation of goalkeepers. At Shutout School, he combines high-level training with innovative techniques to mentor aspiring talent. His journey from West Cork to becoming a global role model is a lasting testament to his unwavering commitment to excellence in the art of goalkeeping.

David Williamson


Co-founder

David Williamson, a native of Northern Ireland his passion for field hockey was ignited early on. His playing career was marked by notable achievements—he was named Newry Olympic Hockey Club Player of the Year in both 2001 and 2002. Building on that strong foundation, David helped lead his teams to significant success by capturing national titles with Lisnagarvey Hockey Club during the 2005–2006 seasons and later winning a Lenister League title with Pembroke Wanders in 2013. 

David has worked with the Irish Hockey Association with both the Men’s and Women's National teams. Continuing his international work in the USA, with the Women’s national team as an assistant coach for almost a decade, competing in multiple World Hockey Leagues,  FIH Pro Leagues, Pan Am Games and the FIH World Cup. David has expanded his coaching repertoire by serving as an assistant coach for the Odisha Warriors in the inaugural Women's Hockey India League, winning the championship.

With one foot in the USA since the early 2000s, David has developed a deep understanding of both the NCAA and club landscapes. This expertise has been pivotal in shaping Shutout School’s (SOS) mission to advance goalkeeping skills across the United States. By blending his extensive technical knowledge with a steadfast commitment to nurturing emerging talent, David has helped transform SOS into a premier destination for goalkeepers eager to excel.

Jackie Briggs


A passionate and impactful player in her decade of hockey, Jackie Briggs is a world-renowned goalkeeper on the international stage. As a standout Tar Heel at the University of North Carolina, she helped lead her team to two NCAA Championships (2007 and 2009) and one ACC Championship (2007). During her collegiate career, she earned first-team All-America honors in both her junior and senior years and was named to the All-ACC and All-NCAA Tournament teams.

On the international stage, Briggs represented the United States with distinction. Over a nine-year tenure on the U.S. Women’s National Team, she earned 184 international caps and showcased her talents at the 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympic Games as well as at the World Cups in 2014 and 2018. Her exceptional performances also led to nominations for the FIH Hockey Stars Awards Female Goalkeeper of the Year in 2014, 2016, and 2017.

After retiring from international competition, Briggs transitioned her focus to coaching—determined to give back to the sport she loves. She initially served as an assistant coach at her alma mater, UNC, during the 2018 and 2019 seasons, where she helped mentor the next generation of Tar Heels.

Today, Jackie Briggs is the Associate Head Coach at Wake Forest University. In this role, she has been instrumental in developing emerging talent and elevating the Demon Deacons’ program. Her leadership and technical expertise not only continue to inspire her players on the field but also ensure that the legacy of excellence she forged during her playing days is carried forward to future generations

Alesha Widdall


Alesha Widdall, a seven-year member of the US Women’s Field Hockey Senior National Team, is now the assistant coach for Cornell University. A member of the 2016 US Olympic training team, Widdall helped prepare the US squad that took fifth place overall at the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. In total, she has won seven medals with Team USA, including gold medals at the 2017 World League Semifinals, the 2014 Champions Challenge, and the 2013 World League Round 2.Widdall was a two-time NFHCA All-American and a four-time All-Region selection at UMass. She helped the Minutewomen to four A10 Championships and a pair of NCAA Tournament appearances during her career. The A10 Defensive Player of the Year (2011) and the conference Rookie of the Year (2008), she was a four-time first-team all-conference selection and a two-time ECAC All-Star.

Annie Zinkavich


Annie Zinkavich, Annie Z or AZ to those in the hockey world, was introduced to goalkeeping in 1995 at the ripe old age of 14 and has never looked back. She played her collegiate career at Penn State, starting 80 of the 82 games she played in, was twice named All Region, and had several Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week nods. She continued to share her love of the game at Bucknell, Penn State, and University of Virginia, with several of her keepers receiving All-Conference and All-American Honors. She currently resides in Richmond, VA where she is the Co-Director of Panthers United and volunteers at Longwood University. Annie Z is high energy and wants to share her love of the game with anyone that will listen...you will catch her in her kickers most of the time! Kealsie Robles


Kealsie Reeb, a current USA National team member began her international career in 2018, representing the U.S. Senior National Team at the Sompo Cup in Japan. The Yorktown native, played for the Old Dominion Monarchs from 2015-2019; Reeb distinguished herself as a standout performer for the Monarchs earning Second Team All-Region and BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on two occasions

She was named to the U-19 Women’s National team in 2016, and following her selection to the U-21 Women's National Team in late 2017 she quickly transitioned from the U.S. Women's National Development Squad to the U.S. Senior Team in late 2018. Robles has gone on to represent the States in 2019 & 2020 FIH Proleague, 2019 Pan American Games as a Provisional Athlete, and 2019 FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers.

Reeb has also experience in the Hockey 5’s format. Winning Gold in the Pan American competition and playing in World Cup in Muscat in 2024, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to the evolving facets of the sport.

Beyond her on-field accomplishments, Reeb has embraced a leadership role in developing future talent. Since 2021, she has served as the assistant field hockey coach and goalkeeper specialist at Queens University of Charlotte. In this capacity, she leverages her extensive playing experience to mentor collegiate athletes, helping to cultivate the next generation of field hockey talent.

Kelsey Bing


Kelsey Bing hailing from Houston Texas, and a key member of the U.S. Women’s National Team. Her journey from a promising young athlete to an Olympian exemplifies a rare blend of athletic prowess, technical acumen, and relentless dedication.

At Stanford University, Bing distinguished herself both on and off the field. Her stellar performances helped her team to 3 America East Championships and earned her multiple accolades, including being named a two-time NFHCA All-American, and recognition as an Academic All-America and America East Scholar-Athlete of the Year

Bing made her senior international debut in 2018 against Belgium. Since then, she has been a fixture in every edition of the FIH Pro League from 2019 through 2024. Earning a Bronze and Silver medal at the last two Pan American Games.

Kelsey’s outstanding performance at the 2024 Olympic qualifier helped lead the USA to the Paris Olympics and earn her Goalkeeper of the tournament.

Her consistent excellence has led to nominations for prestigious awards, including the FIH Hockey Stars Awards for World Goalkeeper of the Year in 2023

Kelsey Bing’s career is a testament to hard work, resilience, and the power of combining multiple passions. , her journey remains a beacon for aspiring field hockey players and young professionals striving to excel in every arena of life.
